SAVE OUR SHOW

due to the change of situation at the crown and anchor we have had to pull out our shows held there, witch sucks but cant be helped. we have had to let a few bands down and postpone shows till we find another venue

if you have ever been involved with anything we have done in the past, be it play or attend we ask you to spend a couple of minuets and comment on this blog to create some evidence to show that we did some good work in bringing people together to listen to some bad ass tunes, and hopefully get ourselves sorted quickly with another venue.

you don't have to sign in, just comment on the page

much appreciated
nev and bestie

  1. Always a great night, with great a great turnout! The people who used to make the shows came purely for music which I think is quite rare round these here parts now!

    Good times!

  2. all of the gigs at the crown & anchor that were put on by ratpiss reminded of back in the day, when crisis promotions put on gigs at various venues in Worcester. Back in the late 90's, Worcester had a good music scene devloping and had a lot of quality bands from out the area to play. when the crisis shows stopped, the 'scene' died. and it wasn't until last year when ratpiss started promoting shows at the C&A that I felt a good buzz about the Worcester music scene. DIY/Punk ethic shows in a grotty, no-nonsense pub. fucking awesome. i think a lot of people feel the same as I do and I'm sure a lot of people will be gutted that there won't be anymore shows :(

    RatPiss @ The C&A....... R.I.P.
    long live the piss! :D

  3. What the hell, what change of situation?

Quality nights there, whether it was when we played (1st ever gig - cheers) or just turned up for the crack.

One to try - the tap house down Barbourne. They've got a room upstairs they might be willing to let you use?

  5. This is very bad news, its was a good night when Rat Piss came to town. Hope you guys can get a new venue. I agree with jim, worcester needs these shows and it's a shame to see it go.

    Long live Rat Piss

  6. Dude that sucks, was really looking forward to playing this show and seeing the other bands. Pop Bast a message when you get another venue lined up the future. Good luck mate, was nice to see someone with the initiative to restore Worcester's waning music scene, even if we didn't have a chance to experience it.

  8. This is rubbish news.
Nowhere else manages to supply such a great range of music. You must find a new home. Pronto.

  9. These boys do this for all the right reasons and for that reason these nights have to continue. A local music scene is built on nights like this and they do this not to make a buck but because they love music and are passionate about it
These boys will be back, have you ever tried to get rid of a rat?

  10. This is ultimate suckage all the music venues seem to be getting swallowed up round these parts.

  14. Sooo Gutted to hear this, I agree with many others that since crisis died the music scene has become so slim. But then when rat piss came along it was such a breath of fresh air and hope to have regular shows appearing in worcester again. Some of the best shows Ive been too! Really really hope you can find another venue!

    SAVE RAT PISS!! x

  15. Why does the only good thing that's happened to Worcester in ages get shit on? My latest band played our first gig there and it was fucking awesome!!!! Gigs, especially metal for unsigned bands gigs, don't generally get much of a crowd these days and it's easy to forget metal but the crown and anchor gigs reminded me that you can't beat the atmosphere and you're there for the same reason as anyone else. I am absolutely gutted that they're not going on any more. No one asked each other if they were going to the crown gigs, you just turned up and knew everyone would be there.

Worcester's back to being shit then! Great!

Hope you find a new venue lads, you got all the support of us behind you x

  21. Guys …

Just to say thanks and I’m glad the C&a meant as much to you all as it did to me . I had an amazing 18 months there. But rent increases and the rise of the price of a pint meant I had to close the door……..
Actually fuck that it was the lack of support from the brewery . never work for marstons people !!

But I genuinely want to share my love for both nevs and bestie who put on the best shows Worcester has seen in a long time .
Also thanks to everyone both in the bands and those who came to watch. from those who came and stood at the back to those who punched the roof in (the bloods still there)

And those who were patient when we ran out of beer and change .

It was really a special occasion when the guys put on a show and I will miss our cups of tea and conversations about parsnips.

Hey hey my my rock and roll will never die …

The rat will piss again .

    Roon
